Shining the light

I'm joining in on the Compendium of Curiosities Challenge #26.  I just discovered this challenge blog and love it!  It's a great way to work through the great ideas in Tim Holtz's Compendium of Curiosities #3 book.  I recommend you click the link above and see all of their great projects.

Here is my project using smudge stamping. I used the following inks. frayed burlap for the bird, salty ocean for the feather, gathered twigs for the nest and Victorian velvet and walnut stain for the background.
